Micro coins: knowing when to sell matters most

Bonus Content: Alphabet Is Down 10%. The Search Miss Is What Traders Are Selling.

A note from our friends at Crypto 101(ad)

Dear Investor,

Here’s a crypto stat that tells you everything about small coins…

Over the past 30 days, eight altcoins gained three times more than Bitcoin.

Then, in the very next week, six of those eight fell.

That’s micro coin investing in a nutshell. The moves are huge. In both directions. Fast.

Most people only think about the first half: finding the coin before it runs. And that matters.

But the investors who actually come out ahead are the ones who know the second half too.

When to take profits. How much to sell. How to avoid riding a 200% gain all the way back down to zero.

Because in micro coins, the difference between a life-changing win and a painful story is usually not the buy. It’s the exit.

That’s why Micro Coin Revolution doesn’t stop at telling you how to buy…

You’ll get the process we use to find small coins early. And, most importantly, you’ll see how we decide when to get out.

Altcoin momentum is building. Make sure you have a plan for both halves of the trade.

See the Micro Coin Revolution Presentation now.

To your massive success,

Bryce Paul

Alphabet Is Down 10%. The Search Miss Is What Traders Are Selling.

GOOGL opened October 29 carrying a roughly 10% gap down after reporting its first top-and-bottom-line miss in nearly four years. Alphabet missed Q3 expectations on earnings and revenue, its first simultaneous miss in nearly four years. The after-hours reaction was decisive: GOOGL last traded around $292.50 in extended-hours trading, off about 9.97% from its $324.89 regular-session close. The first full session on the number is today, and the structure of the miss matters as much as the size.

The Number the Market Is Actually Selling

Headline EPS of $2.12 versus a ~$3.01 consensus grabbed attention, but the deeper problem sits inside two lines. Google Services revenue rose 11% to $96.3 billion, while Search and other advertising revenue increased 12% to $63.3 billion. YouTube advertising revenue came in at $11.2 billion, up 9%. Search at $63.3 billion came in roughly $1.5 billion below the ~$64.85 billion the Street was modeling, a gap that directly hit net income.

The free cash flow figure is the one that widened the sell-off. Reuters reported Alphabet posted negative free cash flow of $9.07 billion, versus expectations it would be near break-even. Capital expenditures totaled $51.36 billion in Q3, and management gave investors no relief on what comes next: Alphabet left its full-year 2026 capital spending guidance unchanged at $195 billion to $205 billion, and said capex is expected to rise significantly in 2027. CFO Anat Ashkenazi confirmed the trajectory directly, saying the company will provide further specifics on the Q4 call.

Cloud Doubled. It Was Not Enough.

Google Cloud delivered record growth as revenues increased 103% to $30.7 billion, led by strong growth in GCP across enterprise AI infrastructure and enterprise AI solutions, as well as core GCP services. The Associated Press reported the Gemini app has reached 1 billion users, and Cloud backlog climbed to $561 billion. Operationally, Cloud operating income tripled to $11.1 billion. Those are extraordinary numbers. The market’s verdict is that they are already priced in, and the cost to get there is not.

Search monetization is in transition: AI Mode is growing quickly, but it currently monetizes less than traditional Search. That dynamic, combined with management’s warning that FX headwinds could be slightly larger in Q4, compresses the near-term earnings path even as Cloud scales.

Technical Framework for Today’s Session

Before earnings, GOOGL had already deteriorated technically. The gap down this morning pushes the stock through the six-month support identified near $316.80. A close below that level would confirm a new structural breakdown. The 52-week low of $267.67 is the deep floor.

On the upside, reclaiming $316.80 intraday and holding it on volume would be the first sign of demand absorption. The cluster of moving averages between $339 and $342 represents a much harder ceiling to clear before year-end.

Scenario Modeling

Bull Case: Buyers step in near the session open, volume confirms a reversal above $290 on GOOGL, and the Cloud re-rating argument takes hold. Analyst average price targets remain near $422. A recovery toward $310 to $315 is plausible within days if broader tech stabilizes.

Base Case: The stock digests the gap with elevated volatility between $285 and $300. Sellers defend moving averages on any intraday bounce. GOOG settles near $289 to $295, consistent with the after-hours range, as institutional repositioning plays out over several sessions.

Bear Case: Negative free cash flow and rising capex guidance spark contagion in AI-heavy hyperscaler peers. A decline persisting through the regular session would mark one of Alphabet’s worst one-day drops since March 2020. A close below $280 would accelerate systematic selling.

Active Trader Positioning Framework

Gap-down sessions after high-expectation misses follow a recognizable pattern: the first 30 minutes establish the emotional low, and VWAP through mid-session determines whether buyers are absorbing supply or sellers are extending control. Watch VWAP relative to the $290 level on GOOGL as the key intraday anchor. Position sizing should reflect elevated implied volatility; range compression after a gap this size typically takes three to five sessions. Risk to defined levels, not to conviction.

Preparation beats prediction in sessions like this. The macro context matters too: U.S. equity futures were softer late October 28 after Alphabet’s results hit, so correlated names including NVDA and MSFT warrant close monitoring for second-order moves. The quarter told traders what Alphabet is spending. Today’s session will tell them what the market thinks it is worth.
