Acciona Energia to sell assets to MIP in US and Mexico for $1 billion

Dec ⁠15 (Reuters) – Acciona Energia ⁠has reached an agreement with ⁠Mexico Infrastructure Partners (MIP) to sell wind ​and solar assets in ‍the U.S. and Mexico for $1 billion, the Spanish power company ​said on Monday in a regulatory filing.

The agreement includes the sale ​of a 49% stake in ⁠its 1.3GW photovoltaic ‌portfolio in the United States and a ⁠full stake ​in two wind farms in ‌Mexico with a total capacity of 321MW, ‍Acciona Energia said, adding that the transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026.
